The event took place in mid-September at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium and created an opportunity to highlight her line of creative and flattering clothing for who require a fresh look and a reliable and dependant source for their fashion needs.
This is the second year that Mrs. Matthew organised such a show and this year’s products showcased a comparison between old and new versions of traditional wear. The event also created an opportunity not only for young talent in fashion and modelling, but in culinary arts, creative creole dishes, and locally made wine and punches.
Mrs. Matthew deemed the event as “awesome” and was pleased with the crowd of approximately two hundred to two hundred and fifty persons. “The feedback was very good” she says, “and in addition to my current employee and I, I look forward to employing another individual.”
“I feel very good about business which is growing especially during this current creole season. The fashion show likely had something to do with this.”
AID Bank contributed in sponsoring the event. Mrs. Matthew’s store is currently located on the busy King George V Street, in the centre of Roseau.
